Q: Who was the guy who had the record about "Sweet Thang" several years ago?
A: "Sweet Thang" was written and recorded by Nat Stuckey. His Paula Records single peaked at number 4 and was on the charts for 18 weeks in 1966. In 1967 the Ernest Tubb / Loretta Lynn duet version of the song made it to number 45.

In yesterday's Q & A - I mentioned that Merle Haggard's "The Fugitive" was written by Liz Anderson. Casey Anderson emphatically informed me that HE co-wrote the song with wife Liz and that the song was HIS idea. So now you know the "rest of the story."
